Wi-Fi Direct Technology comes, Bluetooth will be unrivaled

Wi-Fi Aliance announced a new standard for wireless communications network that allows two electronic devices directly connected to each other peer to peer without going through the access point or router. Specification of this technology will become a direct rival to Bluetooth.
Fast transfer speed Wi-Fi access that is up to 250 Mbps. Devices that already support Wi-Fi Direct will be able to notify its status to another device and check the status of other devices such as Bluetooth. Another plus, Wi-Fi can be connected Direct more than one pair of devices. In fact, other than that, do not have two devices equipped with Wi-Fi Direct to connect peer to peer.
For security issues, Wi-Fi Direct will support WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2) and AES encryption. Wi-Fi Alliance plans to complete the process setifikasi standard Wi-Fi technology, Direct from mid-2010.
