Expand the growth of Information and communication Technology (ICT) worldwide:
For the world economy to grow faster it is very important to include African in the equation. One area that needs to be considered seriously is the development of information and communication technology (ICT) in African countries. As much as there are other notable initiatives to drive the global economy forward one area that requires urgent attention to accelerate tremendous economic growth is in the development of ICT in Africa.
One organization that is spearheading these in Africa is the International Telecommunications Union. Their ambitious plan to connect all major cities in Africa with broadband infrastructure is something that needs to be applauded. These connectivity will go a long way to connect Africa with the rest of the world hence accelerate global economic growth. Let it be realized there is a wealth of ideas in Africa that need to be harnessed and with the provision of ICT infrastructure these ideas can be developed. But am excited to note with the laying down of the fibre cables, with the aim of connecting the African continent with rest of the world through the internet, will be of great benefit to the world. Providing information and relaying of the same, is one sure principle of bettering the lives of people. For the smooth flow of information, money and ideas it would be paramount that a cheap and accessible broadband connectivity be in place. With reliable connectivity it is expected the cost of communication to reduce drastically including access to internet connection.
